To me it feels like such a honour that I can do this for him. I will be the guardian of his memory and light a candle for him every year on Yom HaShoah.
Aaron celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on
27 July 2024 at Chigwell Synagogue
I used the occasion of my Bar Mitzvah to twin with a boy who perished in the Holocaust, Aron Eisenberg. Aron was unable to be called up and read from the Torah, or celebrate his Bar Mitzvah. Aron lived in Lodz in Poland. There is minimal information about Aron that can be found. He perished in Auschwitz. Aron was 13. He was Bar Mitzvah age but never got to have his Bar Mitzvah.
I tried to find more information about him, but there was nothing available. I researched what it was like to be a child at the time in Lodz in Poland to try and understand what his life would have been like, and feel closer to him.
To me it feels like such a honour that I can do this for him. I will be the guardian of his memory and light a candle for him every year on Yom Hashoah.
