On 19 June 2025, international celebrity sculptor Frances Segelman, hosted the unveiling of the sculpture of Harry Olmer MBE that she sculpted on 13 January 2025 at JW3.
Once again we thank the talented Frances for her incredible work, generosity and hospitality.
In the words of Frances Segelman:
Meeting Harry was extremely special for me, he lives in the same block of flats my mother lived in, in Mill Hill, and when I parked my car in the basement I invariably saw Harry walking through to go into Mill Hill I couldn’t get over how well he walked! I just had this feeling he may be a Holocaust survivor!
It was very interesting to then find out when Simon Bentley sent me a list of potential people to sculpt that he was on the list.
I knew I had to sculpt him!
His story was just too terrible and that was it!
Sculpting Harry at JW3 made a veery interesting, wonderful event.
Unveiling Harry on one of the hottest days of the year was quite an amazing day, he came with some of his family and he is still a very strong fit man.
I’m sure that the family are very pleased with the finished bust which they took back with them on the day.
