On 24 June 2024, international celebrity sculptor Frances Segelman, hosted the unveiling of the sculpture of Eve Kugler BEM that she sculpted on 7 June 2023 at Kinloss Synagogue.
The unveiling was warm and intimate event in the presence of close family and friends.
We thank the talented Frances for her incredible work, generosity and hospitality.
In the words of Eve Kugler:
“I had expected the sculpture to be bronze, and my initial and very great surprise was that the sculpture showed my hair as red, which I loved. Although it showed me as quite serious, I think she caught the essence of me. Frances is a lovely and generous lady, as shown by her opening her home to my family and friends to view the finished sculpture. The reactions I received have all been positive. I am happy and grateful to the organizers to have been chosen as one of Frances’s subjects. It has been my pleasure to meet and to get to know this talented artist.“
In the words of Frances Segelman:
“I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to sculpt Eve Kugler and to get to know her, she is an inspiration to us all. It has been a great honour to immortalise Eve as a bronze sculpture, in recognition of the Holocaust education work she has undertaken throughout her life.”
