Forbidden Voices of WW2: Banned but not forgotten classical music concert
21 June 2021 at The Great Hall at City of London School
Join us for a first-of-its-kind guided live concert reviving music once silenced by the Nazis and celebrating its lasting influence on the music we know today.
An extraordinary evening of music and remembrance, built around composers whose voices were banned, suppressed, persecuted or silenced under the Nazi regime. The programme traces a powerful journey through beauty, sorrow and legacy, bringing together exceptional works and the stories behind them in a way that is both artistically moving and historically important.
Performed live by world class musicians featuring works by Felix Mendelssohn, Max Bruch, Gideon Klein, Gustav Mahler and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
